Couleur Café opened this week on rue du Pont in La Charité-sur-Loire.
It is a cozy and charming salon de thé where you can taste various blends of coffee and teas. There are also other delicious beverages to order.
Lydie and Francis Crégut have created a welcoming café where you can sit outside, inside or in their delightful patio at the back of the café.
We all ordered a cappuccino and it was a work of art. Francis Crégut took a barista course before they decided to open their salon de thé. Some of us had more than one cappuccino that morning!
Lydie and Francis will be displaying works of artists and they also plan on having musicians to play. There is a piano and guitair waiting for the first musicians.
Indulge in a delicous pastry with your coffee or tea or take some home to enjoy.
Thoughts of food. One of Byron's favourite desserts during strawberry season is a recipe from Karen Barnaby called "Stu's Stacked Mascarpone Cheesecake'. Mix cream cheese, whipped cream, mascarpone, some sugar and vanilla and then put it between layers of phyllo pastry. Top off with sliced strawberries and share with friends. Delicious.
